Sign in from another device — using just a QR code
Already have a passkey on your phone? You can sign in on a brand-new laptop, a hotel desktop, or a friend's tablet in under a minute — no password, no email, nothing typed. Your passkey never leaves the phone.
The 3-step flow
Tap “Sign in from another device”
On the new device, open vaulty.world and tap the QR sign-in button. Your browser shows a QR code.
Scan with your phone
Open the phone camera (the one that holds your passkey) and point it at the QR code.
Approve with biometrics
Face ID, Touch ID, fingerprint or PIN. The new device is signed in instantly.

Why this is safer than a password
Phish-proof
Only works on vaulty.world. A fake site can't trick your phone into signing.
Nothing to type
No passwords to remember, no codes to copy. Just unlock your phone.
Key stays on the phone
The private key never leaves your device. Only a public key sits on our servers.
FAQ
Do I need to be on the same Wi-Fi?
No. Both devices just need internet access. They connect through a secure, encrypted relay — no shared network required.
Why does it need Bluetooth?
Bluetooth is used to verify the two devices are physically near each other. This prevents someone in another country from tricking you into signing in for them.
What if I don't have a passkey yet?
You'll need to set one up on the device you trust most first. Go to Security → Passkeys and tap “Add passkey”.
Does this work inside Telegram or Instagram?
In-app browsers don't allow cross-device passkeys. If you tap a Vaulty link from Telegram, choose “Open in Browser” first.
What happens if I lose my phone?
If your passkey is synced (iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager), you can restore it on a new phone. Otherwise add a second passkey on another device while you still have access.
Ready to try it?
Open Vaulty on the laptop or tablet you want to sign in on, and tap “Sign in from another device”.
